Travel Consultation Information
Are you planning a trip overseas?
If you are planning a trip overseas, you can now book a pre-travel consultation with your trusted, local pharmacist for advice on all your travel health needs.
During your 20-minute consultation, you and your trusted pharmacist immuniser will discuss:
-
your travel plans
-
review your vaccination history
-
provide travel hygiene advice, and
-
ensure that you are up to date with all the necessary vaccinations
Vaccinations that can be administered during this consultation by your pharmacist immuniser include:
- Influenza
- COVID-19
- Whooping Cough
- Poliomyelitis
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Typhoid
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
- Pneumococcal
- Meningococcal ACWY
- Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)
- Japanese Encephalitis
- Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
- Mpox
- Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
Some medicines and vaccines (e.g. Malaria tablets) cannot be prescribed in a pharmacy, so where appropriate, you may be referred to a GP, travel medicine practitioner or other healthcare provider for further consultation.
The Travel Consultation at Chemist Warehouse starts from $20.00. Any medicines, products or vaccines recommended during the consultation will come at an additional cost and will be charged at the registers on the day of purchase/administration.
Please note – this service is currently available at selected Victorian pharmacies only.
